Messenger is a programme that allows people with Yahoo ID's to talk to each other in IM and or chat
It is not an account your Yahoo ID is your account so if you have someone on your list who doesnt have messenger they will have a face but you cant talk to them
Every person on Yahoo has a Yahoo account,you can't add them to your Messenger if they dont
Even if someone doesn't have a messenger account, does the little sleeping smiley still appear by their name?
