You might have bad RAM. Do a RAM stress test at http://www.memtest86.com/ If your ram fails, you need new ram.
Also try http://www.ccleaner.com/ and clean anything it finds out. It fixed a few apps that were continually crashing for me.

Reply:If you have Windows Blinds then it is interfering with Yahoo messenger. You have to take messenger out of the application. If you are running any AlienGuise on you computer then that is definitly the problem. You need to go back to the windows default desk theme. If you want to change your desktop then you will have to do it through windows and not AlienGuise. My messenger was doing the same thing and turning off Alienguise fixed it. I don't think messenger is compatable with Windows Blinds or Alienguise. Hope this helps.
