incoming and outgoing,,emcotions will not work only sends and recieves dots, and brackets,,etc.

It's not happening only to you. Everyone has problems with Yahoo products. From the rumors, it looks like the Yahoo! Messenger team are doing updates so we'll just have to be patient a while longer. Reply:from the main yahoo window press ctrl-shift-p click Messages on the left and make sure enable emoticons is selected on the right :)
Reply:I have had that problem myself also. When I sent those to a friend who had a older version then mine !
One thing you may try is to totally sign out %26amp; close out of Yahoo and then log back in ! Hope it works for ya !
